All Coaches Must Have a Current KidSAFE and Concussion Certificate on File

Volunteer coaches that are assigned a team will receive one registration refund upon return of the issued equipment at the end of the season.
Also, regarding the new State of Ohio Return to Play Law, Coaches, Referees and volunteers for Pataskala’s Recreation Soccer Program must complete appropriate safety training and review guidelines as set forth. All information regarding both the these requirements can be found at www.osysa.com.
Coach Requirements: All coaches who register will be required to upload a valid, current concussion training certificate, submit a background check and take SafeSport training. This can all be done at time of registration. I have attached the SafeSport training instructions, which you are free to distribute to your coaches, admins, etc. Rec coaches are NOT required to upload a photo. They may move past this step. They do not need to be assigned to teams in the system unless you choose to do that.
Coaches Policy:
To Be a Volunteer Coach for Pataskala Parks & Recreation Department:
We understand the time and dedication it takes to be a volunteer coach for Pataskala Recreation league(s). Below are several tasks you will be expected and/or required to do while coaching in our league(s). Obligation to these tasks as outlined will produce a full refund to the head coach (HC) of the assigned team.
Head Coaches are only eligible to receive one refund check per season regardless of how many teams he/she is the head coach of.
Refunds aren’t applicable to assistant coaches, guidelines are listed below:
• Complete and pass a background check
• Attend training sessions offered by Parks and Recreation
• Attend coaches meeting
• Remain with the team for the duration of the season
• Turn in completed coach evaluations from parents
• Turn in equipment at the end of the season
