Pataskala Parks and Recreation Are Hiring Lifeguards and Swim Instructor/Guest Team Member for the 2023 Swim Season
Hybrid Learning Training Includes: Swim Instructors Professional Lifeguard Certification, Health Care Provider Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid
Pataskala, Ohio (September 29th, 2022) – The Pataskala Municipal Pool is looking for Swim Instructors (14 years old) and lifeguard candidates (15 years old) seeking an opportunity to make a difference in aquatic safety and guest service. Candidates will receive training including Water Rescue Skills, CPR/AED/Supplemental Oxygen Support, and Standard First Aid and, if successful, become a Professional Lifeguard certified by Ellis & Associates, the world’s most respected and rigorous aquatic safety training organization. Positions are available (10 seasonal lifeguards) and candidates must be at least 16 to be a lifeguard by July 1st 2023. All Swim Instructor applicants must be 14 years old to apply. We have two licensed instructors on staff here in Pataskala who are community residents ready to employ youth in the aquatic field.
“The Pataskala Municipal Pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day offering families an opportunity to enjoy swim lessons for adults and youth, adult lap swim contest and pools in a safe environment with team members that are highly-trained in water rescues, facility operations, and safety and health” said Lenier Crawford AFO. “The training we provide gives lifeguards the confidence and skill set they need to be successful in their roles. Our team members can also gain leadership experience and create friendships that last a lifetime.”
Interested candidates must submit a copy of the city’s employment application to Finance Director James M. Nicholson no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, November 11th, 2022. Application materials can be sent either via email to hr@ci.pataskala.oh.us or mail to City of Pataskala, 621 W Broad St, Suite 1D, Pataskala Ohio 43062. Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
